11/12/24 FEELINGS

 A feeling that took me by surprise was fear. One spring break i went to Tennessee and i was going with my family to explore a cave. I was really excited on the way to the cave but the second we started descending into the cave what felt like a pit started opening up into my stomach. I realized that i was actually scared of going into the cave and i started thinking about all the different things that could go wrong and I really wanted to leave. But in the end i concurred my fears and actually had a really good time in the cave and ended up seeing an underground water fall!

 I had to make a speech in front of my class once, and I was nervous that I would forget my words or be judged. but I took deep breaths and focused on eye contact with the crowd. The advice I will give to someone who has stage fright is to practice a lot beforehand, breathe deep, and just remind yourself that the audience wants you to succeed.

 Today in class we started to work on a group project. Im not a fan of group grade assignments, I feel like if I do all of my work and others don't I shouldn't be penalized for putting in my share of effort and getting the same grade as someone who put no effort in. I don't really think 2 of my group members will do their share even though we gave them the easiest jobs. Im fully prepared to do their jobs if I have to.

 Today in class we were supposed to work on a writing assignment that would span the block day but instead I used my minor work ticket yippie!! So instead of wasting my time in class on playing games on my computer or sleeping, im gonna work on my SAT prep homework so thats exciting. I dont have a class today so when i get home all i have to work on is probably some APUSH work and my SAT work.
